Performance Evidence
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to complete the tasks outlined in the elements, performance criteria and foundation skills of this unit, including evidence of the ability to:
conduct shuttle car operations on at least two occasions, including loading, transporting and discharging coal.During the above, the candidate must:locate and apply relevant documentation, policies and procedures and confirm work activity is compliantimplement the requirements, procedures and techniques for conducting shuttle car operations, including:reading, interpreting, applying and communicating technical informationidentifying and minimising environmental issues, potential hazards and risks selecting and using relevant tools and equipmentcomplying with environmental requirements and constraintsidentifying work requirementsapplying diagnostic and fault finding techniquesinterpreting mine survey and geological datamaintaining equipment recordsapplying cable care and safetywork effectively with others to conduct shuttle car operations in a way that meets required outcomes, including:organising work activities to meet task requirementscommunicating clearly and concisely with others to receive and clarify work instructionscomplying with recording requirements and proceduresdetermining coordination requirements throughout work activities.
